The pace of life in 2024 has been stable, with Taiwan’s food, retail, and food service industries driven by active consumer market growth. Although inflationary pressures remained, take-out food, domestic travel, demand for Lunar New Year stockpiling, and the like contributed to growth in production value. The food and beverage manufacturing industry continued to perform well. In 2024, the total production value of Taiwan’s food industry broke the trillion level for the first time, reaching NT$1.00439 trillion, for a 1.0% increase over the previous year; this accounted for 5.2% of the overall manufacturing industry.
