In 2015, the overall output value of Taiwan's dyeing and finishing industry was NT$24.7 billion. However, some Taiwanese players progressively moved into vertical integration or developed international business outside Taiwan due to regional trade factors, the overall output value had a slight decline of 0.04% compared with 2014. When analyzing the output value changes of different sub-industries, the output value of dyeing and finishing for knitted fabric was NT$11.3 billion, growing significantly by 10.8% compared to the previous year, and exceeding the NT$10.4 billion output value of dyeing and finishing for woven fabric for the first time. The industry of dyeing and finishing for knitted fabric created a new era.
