2017 Taiwan Industrial Outlook-Motor Vehicles

Along with the sustained recovery of global economy, regional economies are getting better accordingly. Consumers shall have more interest in purchasing automobiles than motorcycles. However, the future decline is expected to mitigate. The global scale of motorcycle industry is 5,8100,000 in units, the forecast of 2017 has decreased 2.0% compared to 2016. Along with the domestic policy that promotes exporting of motorcycles/scooters and subsidy project for motorcycles/scooters purchasing, the growth of domestic sales and exporting of MIT motorcycles/scooters are predicable. The forecast of domestic sales in 2017 shall have a growth of 6.9% that will lift the scale of domestic demand market to become 843,000 units.
