The Department of Statistics, Ministry of Economic Affairs estimates that the 2015 Q1 manmade fiber industry output will be NTD33 billion, marking a 4.3% decrease compared with the same period in 2014 and accounting for 30% of the total textile industry output. The market of export for midstream textile industries target at Vietnam and China with an industry output of NTD71 billion, marking a 0.2% increase compared with the same period in 2014 and accounting for 65% of the total textile industry output. The industry output for wearing apparel and accessories is NTD5.2 billion, marking 2.2% decrease compared with the same period in 2014 and accounting for 5% of the total textile industry. The total textile industry will reach an industry output of NTD109.2 billion and marking a 1.3% increase compared with 2014.
