In the Q4 of 2015, the production value of network communications equipment, including switches, WLAN, DSL CPE, cable CPE, IP STB, and 4G access products increased by 5.3%, 1.8%, 1%, 3.5%, 3.2%, and 9.4% respectively compared to the Q4 of 2014, leading to overall network communications equipment growth of 6.1%. In terms of personal mobile devices, mobile phone production value fell by 10.2% due to decreased shipment volumes by certain providers. Even though GPS devices grew by 17.3% due to increased shipments for wearable devices, personal mobile devices as a whole still declined by 5.1%. Overall, in the fourth quarter of 2015, Taiwan's communication equipment production value experienced near-zero growth compared to the Q4 of 2014 due to the mutual cancellation of growth and decline. The total production value was NT$252.1 billion. In terms of telecommunication services, in the Q4 of 2015, mobile Internet and 4G network usage achieved steady growth, while DSL clients continued to seek network upgrades. Overall communication service production value annual growth rate was 2% for a total of NT$118.5 billion. In the Q4 of 2015, Taiwan's communication industry production value attained a total of NT$370.6 billion, exhibiting a minor growth of 0.6% compared to the Q4 of 2014.
