Post ECFA: An Evaluation of Taiwan and China Textile Industry

Advantage of Taiwan’s textile industry：

The supply chain of Taiwan’s functional textiles from upstream (e.g. differentiated fibers and nylon fibers), to midstream (e.g. chemical fabrics) to mid-to-downstream (e.g. dyeing, weaving, printing and laminating) are niche export products.

Taiwan has placed a comprehensive assessment and certification system for functional and industrial textiles, which can serve as a reference for relevant organizations such as China Textile Information Center, China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC) and China Textile Engineering Society.
