The report is based on a survey of smartphone users in Taiwan conducted by the Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) of the Institute for Information Industry between November 20, 2014 and December 3, 2014. The survey investigated and analyzed current use of mobile payment services, user experience and preferences, and user considerations. The report received 1,041 valid samples with 520 from males and 521 from females. The survey results had a sampling error of ±3.0% at the 95% confidence level. Also, users in Eastern Taiwan (Hualien and Taitung) and offshore islands (Penghu, Kinmen, and Lienchiang) were excluded from the survey.
