The Department of Statistics, Ministry of Economic Affairs estimates that the Q2 2016 manmade fiber industrial output will be NTD27.66 billion, marking a 10.2% decrease compared with the same period in 2015 and accounting for 27% of the total textile industrial output. The midstream textile industries shift its export market gradually to Vietnam and China with an expected industry output of NTD68.98 billion, marking a 4.8% decrease compared with the same period in 2015 and accounting for 68% of the total textile industrial output. The expected industrial output for wearing apparel and accessories is NTD4.92 billion, marking 5.2% decrease compared with the same period in 2015 and accounting for 5% of the total textile industry. For Q2 2016, the total textile industry is expected to reach an industrial output of NTD101.56 billion and marking a 6.4% decrease compared with 2015.
