The production value of Taiwan's regenerative medicine industry in 2022 and the operational status of the observed companies were estimated according to the “2023 Questionnaire for Biotech Pharmaceutical Companies in Taiwan” conducted by DCB ITIS Research Team , and information from financial statements/ annual reports of public companies. No cell/ gene therapy products produced in Taiwan are currently listed on the market. Therefore, the production value of the regenerative medicine industry primarily derives from various cell storage services, contract manufacturing of cell therapy-related preparations, and cell preparations for clinical trials. The production value of Taiwan’s regenerative medicine industry in 2022 was approximately NT$4.3 billion, an increase of 80.0% compared to 2021 (Figure 1). The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2018 to 2022 was 33.5%.
